The objective of the 'Technical Account Manager' is to assist VASCO Sales in all technical related issues, being a primary point of contact for all technical queries, in Australia, offering support on VASCO Products and Solution Partner products.
Profile
Studies: Master in Industrial Engineering or Civil Engineering Electronics / IT or equivalent by experience
Strong background (4+ years) in the IT industry
Experienced in a support or software development position
Experience in solution architecture design (2+ years)
Technical knowledge of the IT standards and protocols, more specific Windows, UNIX/LINUX, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, …
Base security knowledge
Practical knowledge of C, C++ or Java
Practical knowledge on web-based applications development and relational databases
Native English speaker
Customer oriented and highly independent
Development skills and knowledge about SOAP would be an asset
Responsibilities
Work closely with the VASCO Sales Team. Once the Sales Manager(s) established contact with the prospective customer the Technical Account Manager needs to get a clear view (analysis) on the customer’s technical objectives for the implementation of VASCO’s products. Based on this he/she will advise the customer on how and where to best apply VASCO’s and/or its strategic partners’ products and solutions.
Assist from a technical point of view in the pre-sales activities on VASCO products and solutions (e.g. RFP’s, RFI’s) as well by telephone as face to face with prospective customers.
Analyse Customer Requirements.
Present & Demonstrate VASCO products and solutions/Partners Products/Alternatives from the technical side to VASCO prospective customers.
Follow-up external.
Provide Workshop/Consultancy towards customers.
Project documentation & follow-up.
Relay customer feedback (requirements, new functionality requests) to Product Management (internal communication).
Obtain detailed technical/business knowledge on the Strategic Partners’ applications, especially their possibilities and limitations in order to present the best solution to VASCO customers.
Actively participate in tradeshows and seminars hosted by VASCO.
Actively follow new market trends related to e-security.
Be required to train channel partners’ technical force on the VASCO product suite to ensure that they in turn will be able to assist their sales force with the adequate pre-sales support on the VASCO products.
Product training for channel partners and customers/prospects.
Perform and follow-up on the integration of VASCO’s products into VASCO Strategic Partners’ applications and solutions.
Create and maintain technical documents (e.g. Technical White Papers) on VASCO concepts, products and solutions.
Follow-up in Salesforce.com.
