This solution lets you authenticate your business partner (e.g. your bank) in order to verify the authenticity of its website or application.
How does Host authentication work?
Internally, the Digipass generates a long Time Based One Time Password.
Only the first part of the password is shown to you on the display of the Digipass. You enter this part of the password into the website or application.
Your transaction partner receives your username and the first part of the password. The system will then calculate the latter part of the password and send this back to you.
You enter this last part into the Digipass for verification. If all data are correct, Digipass will let you know. And you can access the site or application knowing your information will be secure.
