Data theft? Virtually impossible with One-Time Passwords

DIGIPASS GO 3Need your password? Press the button. Or enter your PIN code. Use the generated password to log in into your application or network. The password will be verified by the server before acces is granted.

DIGIPASS passwords are time based. All DIGIPASS'es have an internal real-time clock. Default, every 36 seconds a new password is generated. The use of the passwords is thus limited in time, making it virtually impossible for fraudsters to capture your data.

The combination of unknown secrets, the verification procedure and a real time clock puts the fraudster under time pressure. A wider time-window would decrease the security. The length of the password increases the security.
