DIGIPASS Readers

Products in this group include connected and unconnected models. DIGIPASS Readers combine secret values, stored on smart cards, with DIGIPASS algorithms pre-programmed into the DIGIPASS reader. These products optimize investment in smart card technology, by extending smart card use to include one-time passwords and electronic signatures.

DIGIPASS 800 Range

Products in this range are unconnected models, using secret values stored in a smart card. The input/output interface is operated by the DIGIPASS holder, so that use is restricted to symmetrical secrets in the smart cards (asymmetric secrets generate codes which are too long to be copied by hand, e.g. 1024-bit). These products are typically used in combination with payment cards supplied by banks.

DIGIPASS 850 Range

Products in this range are models which can be connected via USB to a PC. The functionality can run locally on the DIGIPASS 850 model or can be controlled by the PC using the Personal Computer Smart Card (PC/SC) interface. Both symmetrical and asymmetrical keys in the smart card can be used. Most models have double functionality and can also operate in an unconnected way, similar to the DIGIPASS 800 Range. These products are typically used for PKI smart cards as used for high value banking transactions, or as used in Enterprise Security.

DIGIPASS 905

DIGIPASS 905 (DP 905) is an USB desktop smart card reader/writer. The device has a modern and ergonomic design, targeted to be used in an office or home environment.
