KB_150187: How to upgrade IDENTIKEY Authentication Server when postgresql upgrade is giving errors.9/11/2017 2:28:03 PM
This is a procedure when the regular IAS upgrade is not working and you can revert to the situation before the upgrade. (using a snapshot of the Virtual server)
Problem symptoms / details.
During upgrade of IAS, the postgresql upgrade process ends with an error.
Start the upgrade wizard and proceed to the first step. (data upgrade must be done for this to succeed)
Make a backup of the postgresql database:
Un-install postgresql and the postgresql ODBC manually:
Click on the Install PostgreSQL in the upgrade wizard:
This will give an error.
Click on the Install PostgreSQL in the upgrade wizard again:
Postgresql will install. After the installation verify that the ODBC DSN is configured and that you can login with the digipass user. The data will be missing.
Restore the data from the back-up:
Once that is done, you can continue to with the configuration wizard and the installation of the webadmin.
Applies to: IAS 3.9 and higher
