KB_120039: Digipass Self Service Website is not working with DPP4SBR11/22/2007 1:31:32 PM
DIGIPASS Self Service Website is not working with DIGIPASS Plug-In for SBR (DPP4SBR).
The DIGIPASS Self Service Website allows a user to do a number of administrative tasks, as shown in the screenshot below.
The symptoms of the problem described in this article are:
- All operations fail, except the Digipass Login Test.
The connection from the Website to the DPP4SBR is a Radius connection.
A common error with the use of the DIGIPASS Self Service Website is a wrong
Shared Secret. The fact that the Digipass Login Test works proves that the Radius Shared Secret between the Website and SBR is correct
- When you try e.g. a user registration (= Autolearn mechanism), it will fail as in the screenshot below..
In the DPP4SBR trace, you will see that the length of the password is not correct. The trace will always report a length that is 1 more than the actual length of the password entered on the website.
In our example, we logged in with password Vasco, the trace file reports a password length of 6:
[2007/11/22|16:38:18][VINFO][UserRequest::localVerification] > Length of password entered is bytes
The cause of this issue is a wrong configuration in the SBR server.
In the Radius client that is used by the DIGIPASS Self Service Website, make sure that VASCO is selected for the Make/Model parameter.
(The VASCO make/model is added in the SBR server during the installation of the DIGIPASS Plug-In for SBR)
After changing this parameter, all functions on the DIGIPASS Self Service Website will work correctly.
Applies to: DIGIPASS Plug-In for SBR
